Types of Facial Lines
There are two types of facial lines, dynamic and static:
- Dynamic facial lines (also known as expression lines) are those exaggerated by facial expressions such as frowning, squinting and smiling. Dynamic lines include, but are not limited to:
- Frown lines
- Bunny smiles
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet
- Static facial lines (or wrinkles) result from the loss of skin elasticity, volume and years of repetitive muscle movement. They remain present even when the face is relaxed.
Causes of Wrinkles
The natural ageing process of the face is a result of multiple internal and external factors. Over time, this leads to the development of facial lines and wrinkles.

Static Lines
